About Our Services
Our development team is based in India, but we operate as a UK-focused eCommerce agency through magento-services.co.uk. We serve clients across the United Kingdom, Ireland, Norway, Sweden, and worldwide. We also operate globally through our main site magento-services.com. All communication is in English and our working hours accommodate UK time zones.
Simply fill in our contact form with as much detail as possible about your project โ your current platform, what you need built, key requirements, and your timeline. We'll respond within 24 hours with a detailed quote or follow-up questions. All consultations are free with no obligation.
We respond to new enquiries within 24 hours. For active project clients on a support retainer, response times depend on the plan โ Professional plan has a 4-hour SLA, Enterprise has a 1-hour emergency SLA.
We offer both. For well-defined projects (new builds, migrations, specific features), we provide fixed-price quotes. For ongoing development work or support, we offer hourly or monthly retainer arrangements. We'll recommend the best model for your specific project.
Magento 2 Development
Timeline depends heavily on complexity. A standard Magento 2 store with Hyva Theme typically takes 8โ14 weeks from discovery to launch. A complex B2B store with custom integrations may take 16โ24 weeks. We provide a detailed timeline in our project proposal after discovery.
Magento Open Source (formerly Magento Community Edition) is free and covers most merchants' needs. Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce/Enterprise Edition) adds B2B features, advanced CMS (Page Builder), customer segmentation, and cloud hosting options โ at a significant licensing cost. We recommend Adobe Commerce for high-volume merchants or those needing advanced B2B features. Most UK merchants start with Open Source.
Yes. We regularly work alongside in-house developers and other agencies. We can take on specific modules, the frontend Hyva theme, or any part of the project that suits your needs.
Yes. We use Git for all code, with GitHub or Bitbucket repositories. We follow a development โ staging โ production workflow, ensuring you can review all changes before they reach your live store. We write and provide inline code documentation as standard.
Hyva Theme
Hyva Theme uses a per-project commercial licence model. As of 2025, a standard Hyva licence is approximately โฌ1,000 per production domain (one-time or with annual renewal options). This is separate from our development costs. We can assist with licence procurement or you can purchase directly from hyva.io.
Not all extensions are Hyva-compatible out of the box โ many popular extensions still have Luma-based frontend templates. However, the Hyva ecosystem has grown rapidly and major vendors (Amasty, Mirasvit, Mageplaza) all offer Hyva-compatible versions. For extensions without official Hyva support, we can port them. We always conduct an extension compatibility audit before committing to a Hyva project.
A standard Luma-to-Hyva migration typically takes 4โ8 weeks, depending on the complexity of your current theme, number of custom templates, and extensions that need porting. We provide a detailed assessment and timeline after reviewing your current store.
Hyva will positively affect your SEO. The dramatic improvement in Core Web Vitals scores (which are a direct Google ranking factor) typically leads to improved organic search rankings. URL structures, meta tags, and content all remain identical โ only performance and UX improve. Most UK merchants see improved rankings within 4โ8 weeks of launching a Hyva store.
Migration & Upgrades
No โ a properly conducted migration preserves all your data: products, categories, customer accounts, order history, CMS pages, and more. We run the migration on staging first and verify all data before touching your live store. We also maintain your M1 store as a read-only archive for 30 days after go-live as an additional safety net.
With proper URL redirect mapping, a well-executed M1โM2 migration has minimal SEO impact. We implement comprehensive 301 redirects from all old URLs to their M2 equivalents, submit updated sitemaps to Google Search Console, and monitor rankings post-launch. Most stores see their rankings stabilise within 2โ4 weeks, then improve due to M2's better performance.
Migration costs vary significantly based on your M1 store's complexity: standard stores (mostly standard extensions, straightforward theme) from ยฃ5,000โยฃ10,000; medium complexity from ยฃ10,000โยฃ20,000; heavily customised stores with many integrations from ยฃ20,000+. We provide free detailed assessments before quoting. Contact us for a free migration assessment.
Payments & Integrations
We integrate all major UK payment gateways including Stripe, PayPal/Braintree, Klarna, SagePay/Opayo, WorldPay, Barclaycard, Checkout.com, Adyen, Mollie, and more. We also implement Apple Pay, Google Pay, and BNPL solutions. All integrations include full SCA/3DS2 compliance as required by UK PSD2 regulations.
Yes. We have experience integrating Magento 2 with most enterprise ERP and business systems including SAP, NetSuite, Sage (50, 200, X3), Microsoft Dynamics, Epicor, Brightpearl, and others. If your ERP has an API, we can integrate it. We also build custom middleware where needed.
